Workshop on ATA Carnet on February 26, 2009, Mumbai

 

 

 

 

This is to  inform you that FICCI in co-operation with Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India is organizing a ‘Workshop on ATA Carnet’ on February 26, 2009 in Mumbai.

 

As you are aware, ATA Carnet is an internationally accepted customs document used by members of the exporting community from India, to travel abroad with commercial samples for participating in an exhibition / trade fair, business promotion tour or for a film shoot.  FICCI, as the apex chamber, is the National Issuing and Guaranteeing Association (NIGA) for issuing and guaranteeing ATA Carnets in India.

 

 In continuity with the task of capacity building through spreading general awareness, it has been decided to organize ‘Workshop on ATA Carnet’ once again in Mumbai.   The schedule of the workshop is as follows:

 

Date      :         February 26, 2009

Time      :         02:30 p.m.

Venue   :         Mayfair Banquets, 254-C, Dr Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai 

 

The focus of the workshop will be to familiarize the industry representatives with the operational aspects of using an ATA Carnet as well as Rights and Obligations of a Carnet Holder.   It will be a platform, where the industry can bring out issues involved in temporary import/export of goods and can benefit from the deliberations of the session. 

 

Interested members may like to attend/send nominations  for  the  workshop and participate in the deliberations, which we are confident, would help generate innovative ideas on the issues.  .

 

There is a nominal delegation fee of  Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only) to defray a part of expenses to be incurred in organizing the workshop.   The participation fee may be kindly sent by Cheque / DD favoring “FICCI” payable at New Delhi.
