The
Council of European Union Chambers of Commerce in India
(EU India Chambers) was established in 1982 to promote, foster and extend
commercial and industrial relations between India and the members of
the European Union.
The Vision: Promote
commercial relations between India and the European Union.
The Mission: Be India's key business forum for information
about and contact with the European Union.
Be India's key forum for networking between European
and Indian business people and institutions.
The Governing Board of the EU-India Chambers is
composed of Bi-national Chambers of Commerce and the Bi-national Business
Committees of the Bombay Chamber representing countries comprised
in the EU. The Delegation of the European Commission in India, New
Delhi, is the Chief Patron. Diplomatic representatives of EU countries
are among the special invitees. Indian and European companies connected
with Indo-EU trade, commerce, manufacture, services and professions,
directly or indirectly, are our patron members.
The EU-India Chambers is an independent, impartial
body actively promoting:
4Two-way flow of trade, investment between
India and members of the EU and technology transfer by providing
professional advice, assistance and services to parties interested
in such business activities.
4 Activities that aim at articulating
views on Government regulations, legislation and procedures with a
view to enhancing the scope for expansion of business activities.
It derives assistance from out of its representation on various Consultative/Advisory
bodies set up under the auspices of Union Ministries, State Governments,
RBI. etc.
