Intellectual property RIGHTS Negotiating an Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement
More and more counterfeited and pirated goods are on the international markets posing a threat to the sustainable development of the world economy. Trade in counterfeited goods causes significant financial losses for the right holders and legitimate businesses. A joint paper issued by the ACTA negotiating partner provides all the elements discussed and should help clarify what this agreement aims at.

Joint Communique following EU-South Korea FTA talks in London
EU Trade Commissioner Baroness Catherine Ashton and Korean Trade Minister Mr Kim Jong-hoon met in the margins of the G20 Summit to discuss the way to conclude the EU-Korea FTA negotiations. Ministers had substantive discussions on the issue of duty drawback.

WTO praises EU's stance on multilateral trade and support for developing countries
In its latest report on the European Union's trade policy, the WTO points out the EU´s instrumental role in strengthening the multilateral trading system and its leadership in the Doha Round of world trade talks. It highlights the EU's efforts to help integrate developing countries into the international trading system and recognises the progress made over the last two years in consolidating the EU's Internal Market. 115 million euros for trade projects in Eastern and Southern Africa
